My name is Kristin Dawson-Jones and I have been using the Geotran tools for 8 years. When I took my first Gems 1 and 2 in Feb. of 1996 I was a single mother working as a geological technologist for Amoco Canada Petroleum. I was in a job that had little potential for climbing the corporate ladder. I was living pay cheque to pay cheque, had a never-ending car loan and felt all alone. Life felt quite bleak and I was tired of always being tired.
One of the tools I learned in those first classes was how to focus my energy and thoughts on 1) knowing what I wanted and 2) how to clear limiting beliefs that had been stopping me from achieving what I wanted.
Many people believe it is the job and ‘they’ that are holding them back. (‘They’ defined as their boss, the management, the corporate culture etc.) Once I used the Geotran tools to integrate away, one at a time these limiting beliefs, time literally sped up. I went from a geological technologist (with a limiting belief that ‘techs never get promoted to management in this company’) to director of quality in three years. In January of 1999, British Petroleum bought Amoco Canada and the entire quality department, worldwide was down sized. I received an excellent severance package, consulted briefly for two years and took time to spend quality time with my son.

I am sooo impressed with the changes that have taken place in my life since I took Gems I & II. Geotran helped me take the steps I wanted to take in order to live a more fulfilling life. One month after I took the workshops, I gave notice to my employer that I'd be leaving shortly. The long and short of it is, that I moved to a town where I began to meet some helpful and encouraging people. Then I received unexpected funds to start up my own business, and I met an elderly couple who gave me a house to live in (in exchange for helping them with their estate). I recently received an invitation to do seminars and holistic therapy work at one of the finest clinics in Collingwood.

Brain Rings are Good for Youth
Having your brain rings on when you are young is a positive experience. You are more conscious to the choices you make. You are more present to what other people are saying. This really helps you in school. I rarely study because I am present to what the teacher says, so I remember easily.

It helps you to build confidence, for example positive points are really helpful when you have an oral presentation. It improves skills, the tap touches can help with this enormously. You are on a higher level than everyone else (more like a human, less like a robot). You can turn your brain rings on no matter what age you are but you are here and present for a much longer portion of your life if you do it when you are young.

Not only has the application of Gems of Excellence/GeoTran brain integration techniques helped me personally in overcoming obstacles to good classroom presentation skills, but it has had dramatic effects on the student teachers I supervise. Barbara Bednarz has been a teacher in the Chicago Public Schools for 30 years. She began using Geotran™ and the Mind Gems for herself and with students in 1996.

Following are some of her experiences:

• Several freshmen who had a flat affect and were self-effacing developed a lively affect. They started interacting and participating with other students and teachers.
• A neighboring teacher received a (Special Ed.) child for a time out after he’d disrupted another class. He was extremely sullen and unresponsive, wouldn’t even go through the doorway. After doing Mind Gem # 5, he immediately got out his books and started his work.
• One extremely disruptive boy, a member of a class that tended to be unruly, started using the Mind Gems at home, though he would not do them along with the class. Several weeks later he asked Mrs. Benders if he could change the location of his desk and moved it off to the side of the room. He became very helpful, went from failing to passing grades. 3 months later, Mrs. Bednarz nominated him to be student of the Month. He continues to excel.
• At the end of the year, students were asked to write about highlights and achievements of their year. Out of 96 students, 25 students mentioned learning and using the Mind Gems.
• One student’s unsolicited passing comment to a teacher in the hall, "Oh, the Mind Gems have opened up my mind like nothing has before!"
• Another (Special Ed.) student after a few months of using the Mind Gems, was very excited when he finished a long assessment test in reading and math. He had finished it before the allotted time was up for the first time in his life.
  
• In the English 1 TAP test, (essay and multiple choice,) Mrs. Bednarz’s 4 classes of new freshmen and Special Ed. students scored higher than 14 out of 15 classes school wide.
  

Nine years ago I was in an accident, which resulted in a serious eye injury that disabled me. I had six major eye surgeries and was for the longest time virtually incapacitated. I was constantly losing my balance and subsequently had to walk with a cane. While being ever so grateful for the Doctors’ exceptional surgical skills, I had also been practicing Living Foods Detox, Qi Gong Eight Brocades and GeoTran integrations. With just one session of GeoTran, I was brought back into balance and could start to function normally again. The healing was permanent.

As a result of an accident several years ago, a weakened right side changed my walking pattern, which altered the configuration of my feet, especially the right one. Several bones began to rub each other, causing pain, growths, infections and a bunion.
On Friday, June 1, I had corrective foot surgery on three separate areas under a local anesthetic, which entails a series of painful needles in the foot to numb it enough for surgery. During the week before surgery I used positive points with the positive points page, visualizing whatever I knew about the upcoming operation, especially the needles.
The day of the surgery I was calm and my pre-surgical vitals were fine. In the operating room, when the time came for the needles, the needles were much more manageable than I expected. When I heard power tools, I realized that they were going to be used to cut, saw and grind my bones, and to insert a titanium screw to secure the bone that was moved. It sounded like a demonstration at Home Depot... Lots more positive points.
When the surgery was over, each one of the O.R. attendants and recovery room nurses remarked that it was unusual to have someone not only choose a local anesthetic, but also remain perfectly calm, vitals and all, before, during and after the procedure.
I went home from the hospital armed with Tylenol #3, standard procedure for post-surgical pain. I never took one. I had no pain whatsoever after the anesthetic wore off, nor have I had any since then. A checkup 5 days after surgery showed almost no swelling, and an advanced stage of healing and motion. The doctor and his assistant were amazed.
Whenever I think about my body healing, I do more positive points. They obviously work.

In my adult life, no matter how much money I made I never seemed to have any. I am sure this sounds familiar to many. I had gone from renting to owning a lovely, large inner city condominium in the three years my career took off. My assets had increased yes, but even though my pay cheque was considerably bigger, I still never had any extra money. I opened each monthly Visa bill with trepidation, was afraid to balance my chequebook and hoped every month I had enough cash to pay the bills. In Sept. of 2000, I realized I had two months left of money, mostly credit before I would lose my home. I had spent my RRSP and the severance package I received at work, my consulting contracts had dried up, my credit card was 'maxxed' out and I could not collect any more unemployment insurance. I was at my bottom, having been ‘pruned’ financially to my core. Some times a ‘kick in the pants’ like this is what makes a person really willing to change. Geotran tools also helped me to map out a process of financial recovery. Every day I stayed focused on what I needed to do that day to heal my money issues. I knew to begin I needed a steady income. Therefore, I integrated daily for my perfect job, took the correct job finding actions and in Dec. of 2000 I was hired as Director of Communications for the IT Department of Canadian Pacific Railway. It is a fantastic job as I am responsible for all internal communications within the department and oversee all communications that come from the department directed at the entire company.
In January of 2001, I met my husband Bob and we were married in Nov. of 2001. In May of 2002 our beautiful daughter Josephine Marie was born. I took 15 months maternity leave, returned to CPR in Sept. of 2003. I am currently working M, W, and F part time in the same role and am very happy with the work/life balance. I am personally making less money than I have for a long time, but I have more money that I have ever had!
